I hope you are all well and keeping safe in these times of uncertainty. What a surreal situation we are all in. I thought I would lighten the mood and make use of my time by filling you all in on the story behind Bella Amoré.
As a stylist i would be lying to say i havent always dreamt of my own salon, however as the clock struck midnight on the 31st December 2018 it all of a sudden dawned up on me that this was the year that i would be turning the big 3 0! I had this sudden need to start making the most of my life. I signed up to do a run, I organised outings that i wouldn`t usually have done and i said to myself that this year i WILL have my own salon.
I didnt rush things, i enquired about a few properties but i was always too slow and as the year was drawing on i began to think maybe my dream wasnt to be, not this year.
Now i am a big believer in fate and things happening for a reason. I had sat patiently and waited for the right time and in November of 2019 that time had come! It was all very surreal, i didnt want to get my hopes up but how could i not!! After form filling and second guessing if it would actually happen, on 23rd November i was handed the keys to my very own salon!!! HOW EXCITING!!!
I had already got my name... Bella Amoré (Beautiful Love) I had my keys... off i went!
Paint... check
Sandpaper... check (oh how i now hate sandpaper)
Mirrors... check
Chairs... check
Chandeliers... check
I had always had a picture of how I wanted the salon to look. I wanted it to be elegant but comfortable, somewhere where you could go and spend a few hours and forget the outside world. So with my vision I set off to transform the place. I couldn't believe it was happening!! The next two weeks were a whirlwind, a mad rush to be open in time for the December hair dos. Everything I came to I hit a stumbling block, obstacles everywhere but we did it! I did it!! A new floor, a sparkly new sign, fresh new walls, newly hung mirrors, new fresh towels, and a fresh vase of flowers to welcome everyone who walked through the door.
On 7th December 2019 Bella Amoré opened its doors to the public and every day since has been an absolute dream! There hasn't been a day yet when I haven't felt excited to go into work, how i want to rush home when I finish, how i don't gaze at it with pride every time i walk or drive past. If you want anything hard enough you just have to wait for the right time and go for it! People will be negative, people will worry and try to put you off because of jealousy and people will hate that you want to succeed in life but the truth is only YOU are the one stopping yourself.
